Rockwell Axles and Differentials
At Heavy Duty Transaxle, we are dedicated to supporting the many industries that still rely on Rockwell International axles, differentials, and rear ends. We stock Rockwell axles and differentials for sale across single drive, two-speed, and tandem configurations — including the SQHD, SSHD, RS-series, and RT-series families. With a history dating back to 1899, Rockwell International established itself as a leader in the manufacturing of robust and reliable drivetrain components. Rebranded as AxleTech in 2002 and later acquired by Meritor in 2019, Rockwell axles and rear ends continue to be actively used in a variety of markets today.
Rockwell Off-Highway Axles and Differentials
Even though Rockwell has evolved into AxleTech, many of these legacy axles and differentials are still in operation. At Heavy Duty Transaxle, we have more than four decades of experience in the industry, giving us the expertise and knowledge to service and support Rockwell off-highway axles and Rockwell differentials. Whether you need to get your out-of-production Rockwell equipment back up and running or require replacement parts, we have the solutions you need.
Rockwell Parts and Support
We maintain a large inventory of Rockwell off-highway axle parts and Rockwell differential parts, ensuring that you can find the components necessary to keep your equipment in top condition. Our team is well-versed in the specifics of Rockwell products and is ready to assist you in maintaining and repairing your equipment.
How to Identify Your Rockwell Axle or Differential
Every Rockwell axle and differential carries a metal identification tag stamped with the model number, serial number, and ratio. The tag is typically riveted to the housing — on tandems, you’ll find one on each axle. If you’re trying to identify a Rockwell rear end, locate the tag and note the model number (for example, RS-23-380 or SQHD), the serial number, and the gear ratio.
Once you have those numbers, our team can cross-reference them against our parts catalog to identify the carrier, gear set, and service parts you need. If your tag is missing or unreadable, we can often identify the axle from photographs of the housing, brake mounting, and carrier — submit a Request a Part with as much detail as you have.
