Log haulers, truck cranes, heavy equipment transporters, and special purpose vehicles work in some of the most grueling environments in the world. AxleTech tandem planetary axles are designed with these conditions in mind. 

• Weight capacity of up to 500,000 lbs (226,800 kg) in gross combination weights (GCW) dependent upon specific vocational duty cycle requirements. 
• A balanced gearing design puts more power at the wheel ends. This reduces torque and stress on axle shafts and carrier/differential gearing, directly contributing to longer component life and reduced maintenance costs.
• Standard high-capacity hypoid gearing, crowned planet gears, and rugged high-strength steel axle housings.
• Optional features include high-capacity cam brakes, carrier differential options, inter-axle differential with a pressurized oil lubrication system, oil filter mounted on carrier housing, single or dual-style wheel hub mountings. 
• A wide range of overall axle ratios are available.
• Extra axle housing magnets reduce metallic contamination between oil lubrication intervals.

Axletech’s special axle shaft manufacturing process produces high-strength and shock-resistant axle shafts to withstand the torsional stress requirements of large engines and transmission low gear operations.

SPRC1937

The AxleTech SPRC1937 tandem set features heavy-duty cast steel housings along with heavy-duty four-pinion planetary wheel ends for log haulers, truck cranes, dump trucks, heavy equipment transporters, and special purpose vehicles. The SPRC1937 has a capacity of up to 600,000 lbs (272,000 kg) in gross combination weights (GCW) dependent upon specific vocational duty cycle requirements. 

• High capacity hypoid gearing, crowned planet gears, and rugged high-strength steel axle housings. 
• Optional inter-axle differential with a pressurized oil lubrication system.
• Single or dual-style wheel hub mountings.

SPRC4806

The AxleTech SPRC4806 tandem planetary rigid axles have a capacity of up to 1,000,000 lbs (453,600 kg) in gross combination weights (GCW) depending upon specific vocational duty cycle requirements. 

• High capacity hypoid gearing, crowned planet gears, wheel end planet gears mounted on tapered bearings and rugged, high-strength steel axle housings. 
• Optional high-capacity cam brakes, carrier differential options, and inter-axle differential with a pressurized oil lubrication system. 
• Single or dual-style wheel hub mountings. 
• Wide range of overall axle ratios.
